Enrichment Workshops for Gifted and Talented Students
The Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University invites Gifted and
Talented students in Years 5/6 and Years 7/8 to join us on holiday adventures exploring
the ancient world. Students are able to explore archaeological methods at Australia’s
leading university for the study of the ancient world.
Activities will include:
handling genuine ancient artefacts
documenting and illustrating artefacts
crafting replica artefacts
an introduction to ancient languages
a tour and group activities in the Museum
These enrichment programs are designed to challenge Gifted and Talented students
while developing higher-order critical thinking skills. All activities are led by
experienced teachers, academics and museum professionals.
