STUDENT ADVISOR (PRESIDENT): Jen Purcell
Jen is in her honours year after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History. She has a special interest in the history of Israel, particularly the Iron Age and has a passion for archaeology having participated in excavations at Ramat Rahel, Jerusalem. Her best moment at university came through these excavations where she un-earthed an Iron-Age sewerage tunnel from the palace of Hezekiah! In 2009 she wants MAHA to engage EVERY student studying Ancient History in a social, academic or sporting activity

STUDENT ADVISOR (VICE PRESIDENT): Chris Hale
Chris is a third year B.Anchist (Hons) student who loves anything and everything Greek (especially the bronze age!) As well as being an active volunteer at the Museum of Ancient Cultures, working with Greek pottery, He has pursued this passion throughout university, following a coherent course of study in Ancient Greek History and participated in an archaeological excavation in 2008 at Mitrou. Chris is also a member of Tele’s Angels and hopes to strengthen the links between MAHA SAC and Tele’s Angels.

IT & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR: David Nally
Dave completed undergraduate studies in Ancient History/English and is now in his honours year. He loves anything to do with the Roman Republic and is affectionately known to the department as “Prosopography Guy” as a result of his legendary assignment in AHST103. Dave is also an MQ mentor and is one of the directors of the 2009 Ancient History Revue.

PR DIRECTOR: Melissa Grima
After being inspired by the amazing museums and galleries in Europe, Melissa enrolled in the BA/BSc: Museum Studies and Heritage. Her programs of study include Ancient History, Anthropology and Palaeontology yet her passion lies with Ancient History. She is fanatically enthusiastic about Egyptology and after participating in her first archaeological excavation in 2008 is keen to pursue further endeavours overseas.

ACADEMIC EVENTS DIRECTOR: Evan Jewell
Evan Jewell is in his second year of undergraduate studies for a Bachelor of Ancient History (Honours). He has a particular passion for Republican and Imperial Rome, and the Latin language. He has volunteered in the Museum of Ancient Cultures, and hopes to integrate MAHA students into the Museum's events in 2009. He plans to complete some form of Ancient History overseas program within the next few years, whether it be on an archaeological dig or at a summer school. Evan hopes to bring some of his experiences as a first year to the group, and attempt to engage first year students in the activities of MAHA, particularly in the academic area.

ACADEMIC PROMOTIONS DIRECTOR: Andrew Rothe
Andrew Rothe is currently studying a Master of International Relations, having just completed a BA in Ancient History. His speciality is Late Antique and Byzantine history, particularly the formation of the western successor kingdoms and the transition from the classical to the post-classical world. FUNDRAISING AND EVENTS DIRECTORS: Anna Foster and Jenni Irving
Anna Foster, has just completed her second year in the BA Ancient History (Honours). She has had a lifelong (so far) desire to pursue archaeology originally that of Egypt, but has found a passion to study Early Christianity and the Roman Eastern Frontier including Jewish Studies.
